What is Title IX and how does it apply to sexual assault and gender-based violence? What responsibilities do faculty and staff have in addressing gender-based violence on campus? How do we respond compassionately when a colleague or student discloses information about an experience with one of these issues? This workshop will teach participants how to have a culturally responsive, trauma-informed framework for supporting those who have been affected by gender-based violence and other forms of violence. This workshop also helps participants to identify the challenges and barriers survivors/Reporting Persons face when seeking resources and support. Participants acquire knowledge of available on- and off-campus resources, including advocacy and medical and legal services.
