Dr. Kamens has served as the Executive Director of Addgene
since 2011. Dr. Kamens founded the current Boston chapter of the Association for Women in Science.
Dr. Kammens is the executive Director of Addgene, a non-profit repository of plasmids and a developer/supplier of a variety of viral tools for research. She has extensive experience in both academic, industrial, and non-profit settings, and has developed a set of seminars to engage students in expanding their thinking about career trajectories in science.
