I'm a '27 majoring in Biology and minoring in WGSS. In freshman year, my friend and I noticed some concerning trends surrounding sexual violence towards Asian/American women and we were frustrated with the lack of meaningful responses that we got from the resources meant to support us (i.e. Title IX, OPAL, SVPP). This past fall, I worked with Professor Mingwei Huang to conduct my own research on the experiences of Asian/American women at Dartmouth in hopes of illuminating trends and exploring the nuances of visibility/invisibility.
