All are invited to join Profs Mimi Thi Nguyen, Mona Domosh, Roberto Pareja, and Molly Geidel in discussion of Geidel's The Developent Film in the Americas. Free copies will be available on a first come, first served basis. This yearlong series features faculty and their recent publications as they reflect on their writing in the context of the transforming field.

 

On the (Im)possibilities of Ethical AI in the Classroom

Faculty are invited to join Profs HnubCi (May) Yang and Jane Henderson for a lunchtime salon to discuss teaching strategies for GenAI. We seek to collectivize on the (im)possibilities of implementing GenAI-literacy from an abolitionist, decolonial, and feminist pedagogy. Bring syllabus policy and classroom practices to share and workshop.

Junior Faculty and Fellow Manuscript Workshop

WGSS Professor Mimi Thi Nguyen will conduct a free manuscript workshop for a book-length work as the keystone of tenure and promotion dossiers. Renowned nationally for this workshop, Prof Nguyen will provide insights on the process of external review, and how to structure conversations for collegial and constructive criticism to strengthen the work and place it for publication. (Templates will be provided as well!)
