Esther M. Rosario is a Lecturer in Philosophy. She specializes in the philosophy of sex and gender, the philosophy of science, and metaphysics. She also has research interests in the philosophy of race, the philosophy of love, and empirical philosophy of mind. Her current research focuses on the metaphysics of sex and conceptual engineering. She argues that sex is a biological kind and engineers a new sex concept for epistemic and social aims. She is an award-winning teacher who takes great pleasure in working with students as they harness philosophical tools for critical thinking and critical engagement.
