Professor Dylan Rodríguez is a teacher, scholar, organizer, and collaborator. A Professor of Black Study and Media & Cultural Studies at the University of California, Riverside, he is the author of numerous books, most recently White Reconstruction: Domestic Warfare and the Logic of Racial Genocide (2022), which won the 2022 Frantz Fanon Book Award from the Caribbean Philosophical Association. He is an inaugural Freedom Scholar Award winner (2020), a past president of the American Studies Association (2020-21), recently served as the faculty-elected Chair of the UC Riverside Academic Senate (2016-20), and currently Co-Directs the Center for Ideas and Society at UC Riverside.
